Testing For Capitals. T.f.c

Sure I put a thread up recently with caps, particularly in the caps with dots ... so just testing to see if the thread title above changes to lower case.

Ah yes, it does .. why is this then ?

Just noticed Tealeaf has put one up with capital letters/dots .. is there something I am not doing ?

Re: Testing For Capitals. T.f.c

You need to have a trailing dot for example 'T.F.C.'

Features exist to stop people typing everything in caps, it automatically changes sentences to begin with a capital letter and have the rest lower case if they do. Therefore you need a trailing dot so the forum knows each letter is a sentence.

Re: Testing For Capitals. T.f.c

Why didn't it show up as T.F.c ie the F being a capital, that has a dot after it

Re: Testing For Capitals. T.f.c

What's a 'trailing dot' ?

Entered it like this :-

TESTING FOR CAPITALS. T.F.C.

Understand why you would not wish all thread titles not to have caps ... have noticed a sticky thread by Mick which starts as CONGRATULATIONS .. the rest lower case.

Oh hang on .. see what K.S.H. means .. didn't put the dot after the 'C' did I.

Re: Testing For Capitals. T.f.c

OK . sorta getting there, but the thread I originally spotted the problem on was :-

Happy 60th H.R.H. definitely put a trailing dot behind the second 'H' .. so still puzzled.
