the best ever was Muse this year at Glastonbury.
My lads have just introduced me to Muse, and I've got to say they really are good, they have the Absolution and Showbiz cds at the moment. (Listening to "Time is running out" right now).
You don't happen to know if they are planning any gigs up this way in the near future do you?

We got a new roof, & a bar on the Clayton End & a new school in Nepal. Beat an Ex-Premiership side away, had some more tarmac laid over the puddles & saw a 3 inch high header. ASFC Youth system saw youth inthe first team & more importantly we signed a "pub"! Remember 6 points off Morecambe & paid our highest fee ever for a player. All this & still "light" years ahead of Barrow & Worksop!!!!!

Re: Best gigs

I saw carter usm at blackburn kgh in december 1992, it was the love album tour and the gig was amazing. The only sour note was having my new hat swiped on the boulevard after the gig!
The best gig i ever saw was PULP at round hey park leeds in 1995. I have also seen Ian Brown, seahorses, toploader, the verve and peter kay in london.

Worst act was ABC, they were a warm up for robbie williams a couple of years ago, they were cheesily awfull!

Re: Best gigs

Never been to a bad gig, but the best three must be Top Loader, Atomic Kitten and Robbie Williams. Don't know why Atomic Kitten split up they were excellent live.

Talking Re: Best gigs

carling festival at leeds this year was amazing - seeing lostprophets and green day on the same bill was great - and iv got to say its the best iv seen greenday since they played manchester apollo in 2001, with their 'We Are The Champions' cover and a brilliant version of Good Riddance(Time Of Your Life), there's no question they are the best live band since the who.

the worst was velvet revolver - their stage presence is cool to watch - with stone temple pilots and gnr together n all that but OH MY GOD the music was god awful live

Re: Best gigs

Metallica were the best band I've seen live (Big day out festival-Milton Keynes Bowl-1999)
Their stage show was excellent and included 30ft flames accompanying the song "Fuel".

It was a blinder of a show and I'm glad I saw them then, because seeing them now would be nowhere near as good especially since Jason Newstead left.

Re: Best gigs

I've seen loads of amazing bands - RETH, EDT, Narcosis, Slayer, Raging Speedhorn, Pearl Jam, Eric Clapton, Nile, Stampin ground, Cathedral, Tomahawk....blah, blah.

The most amazing gig I went to would have to be Pantera (RIP Dimebag)
The worst gig would have to be System Of a Down - not too good live
