Black Sabbath,Deep Purple, or Led Zepplin?

I reckon Ossie Osborn is now looked upon as a comedy actor.. but there was a "music war" giong on in the early 70's... so.. who were you into in the "heavy"wars? Deep Purple..Black Sabbath,Led Zepplin?..here's a few..

Led Zepp

Black Sabbath

I did'nt find any Deep Purple without Blackmore!!!

Re: Black Sabbath,Deep Purple, or Led Zepplin?

I have to say Mancie I didn't mind all three, I was never a cult follower of any HM Band but I think my favourite, numbers were Peranoid by Sabbath and Child in Time by Purple

Re: Black Sabbath,Deep Purple, or Led Zepplin?

Thats a tough one Mancie, but i think my order would be:
Black Sabbath
Led Zepplin
then
Deep Purple

He may be seen by some as a comedy geezer but the Ozzy one has done some pearls with band and solo.

Not so keen on Page and Plant without the rest of Zepplin though, it seems to lose its edge and be a little mainstream.

Re: Black Sabbath,Deep Purple, or Led Zepplin?

I realised I was getting old when we went to a Led Zep tribute concert (and a very good one at that) and we spent the first half in the concert hall actually watching and the second half in the bar on comfy settees!!!! (we could still hear)
