Re: female singers ..who still presses your buttons
I love the Eva Cassidy version of that song.....it brings a lump to my throat the size of Gibraltar....I like 'Fields of Gold' too.

Not seen her recently but Wendy James of transvision vamp. And there was something about Carol Decker (T'Pau) that had me in awe.

Re: female singers ..who still presses your buttons
I was gonna say the Pussycat Dolls, but I think the paramedics would have to be put on standby.
If we are talking singers, as opposed to eye-candy, my vote goes to Eva Cassidy, closely followed by Sarah Jane Morris.

Not really a proper Banana I know, but one night at a party in London I got off with Jacquie O'Sullivan, the girl who replaced Siobhan, when she left to start Shakespeare's Sister.

I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You - Aretha Franklin . . . . I remember seeing a fine selection of female soul singers at the Wheel & Nelson Imp [they used to do some great American acts] but this one is the tops, still.
Some good songs on The Soul Club

Careful. You'll be getting asked to go on the next series of 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here' with revelations like that.
People with smaller claims to fame than that have appeared on it

That's nothing! If you ever come to a meet don't buy me a drink.
I remember at the last meet telling Lindsay Ormerod's mum, amongst others, the time at a party in Battersea that H.R.H. Prince..................
Hush my mouth.
