Mine too Irene. I believe he got his break when Buddy Holly died and he stepped in for the gig Buddy should have done. He had some good records. R.I.P

It was another Bobby who suggested the stage name Vee.

You are right. His surname was Villine and it was Bob Dylan who suggested he take Vee as his stage name. His group was The Shadows .

We last saw him about 5/6 years ago was still brilliant, some of his family were in the backing band R.I.P. Bobby.

Not THE Shadows, of course. The Hank Marvin Shadows came later.
