Re-union Year
Seems a lot of our old favourites have decided to re-form for 2007.The Police,Genesis,James,Smashing Pumpkins to name a few.Is this really in the interest of the music loving public?I don't think any of them need the money & okay many old fans will lap up the nostalgia("we had our first wedding dance to Every Breath You Take".....what,the stalkers song )Like most folk i enjoyed these bands 1st time round, except Genesis who i gave up with after Gabriel left, but do we have to endure more middle aged blokes going through rock posturing,God knows The Stones have become embarrising enough.

can`t really argue with a james reunion though, they never officially split up. looking forward to it and smashing pumpkins should be interesting.

Re: Re-union Year
think most groups re-form,cos they miss the Money/Adulation etc, cos many have tried solo n not got very far. but it dont do the interests of people much harm, new people can see them, e.g. people who were bringing up sprogs at the time. younger people who have grown up,as well as the aging fans on a nostalgia trip.saw Brian Hyland about 4 years ago who is more ancient than the stones lol all his hits were ballad type stuff, which he did but also did some newer stuff but the thing that really surprised me was god can the man RocknRoll, was absolutely brilliant.
