Re: Take That: Greatest Boyband?
What about 70's icons Our Kid Or bigboy band The Osmonds (all white teeth).....those cheeky young chaps The Monkees were ace.I'm sure there are many more from bygone times who would put todays current crop of schmaltz loving covers crooners to shame.

What about those 60's heart throbs, The Walker Brothers? At least, two of 'em could sing, which is more than you could say about most of these modern boy bands.

Re: Take That: Greatest Boyband?
Take That have certainly been very successful and have enjoyed a long career.
I like them but when I was at school I loved East 17.

Scott Walker's still one of my favourites, even if he is nuts.

I agree. The Beatles weren't a boyband.
You need to be auditioned by some Svengali, to be one.
The first boyband was the Monkees.

I'd say more like 100% sure.. once saw the drifters at the cav or whatever it was before then ..Blackburn of all places.. some insults were thrown about and the band steamed in at the bar..great fun all around...they did the second half and were fantastic.
