The Fall

So BBC are trawling out some John Peel stuff about how great The Fall are/were.. I think they were crap.. so The Fall .. Art or rubbish?

edit.. only just sussed that Alec Higgins is the lead singer!!

Not my favourite band but I thought their version of "Ghost in my house" was better than the R. Dean Taylor version.

personally think The Fall are one of the best bands to emerge over the last 20 odd years.Not everyones favourite tipple,i agree.Maybe more of an aquired taste.I find Mark E Smiths verbal tirades & unique vocal delivery together with his original lyrical style(& some top drawer music) at times absolutley mind blowing.And no,i'm not on drugs.Peel knew his music & as a 46 year old whoe's been thru prog rock,glam,punk,aceeeed,madchester,britpop & glasto,i like to think i know mine.
