The Group Boston?
Not sure if the group "Boston" was well known over there. Just heard the lead singer committed suicide . He was 55. This was one of my favorite groups for many years. They also put on a really good concert!

Re: The Group Boston?
That's really sad, when anyone takes their own life.
Yeah they were also big over here to in the 70's.
Too middle of the road for me I'm afraid, but then I am the younger, punkier brother.

Re: The Group Boston?
Then you'll be happy to know "Punky" that one of my first small concerts, back in the later 70s, was of this bloke who me and my friend really liked. Maybe you've heard of him . . .Elvis Costello!! How's that for punk? Okay it's not the sex pistols but it certainly is a start!

I saw Elvis Costello in concert once - one of the worst concerts I've ever been to - only marginally beaten in the awfulness stakes by Van Morrison who was three sheets to the wind.

Re: The Group Boston?
I believe with the early Elvis Costello, ya either loved him or didn't. We really liked him! (plus I was trying to impress bruv Rind).
Maxwell, too bad you guys weren't exposed to more of their music. They had some really good stuff (IMO). Any other fans of theirs out there?
Brian
P.S. - As "just andother band outta Boston" (from "Rock and Roll Band") they were more or less a local band to us from Rhode Island!
