Why the "emo" hatred????
What is it with people consistantly calling me an "emo"????? Just because I choose to wear black clothes and listen to individual music, It's not right to be labeled as emo, indie, goth ect. if the person being labeled doesn't want to be labeled!!! If my Dad happens to be reading this, I hope he gets the message!!

Re: Why the "emo" hatred????
you are like my daughter , except she dont mind being called a emo
always wears black or tarten, stripy socks the lace gloves, and black eyeliner all around the eyes
one thing i must point out though, is that they do not slice their wrists or think of suicide, now that gets up her nose!

Re: Why the "emo" hatred????
If you really do have an individual taste in music then no one is right to call you 'emo'.
Emo's are nothing more than chavs in drag. Same idiotic gang mentality, equipped with equally mind numbing, deranged forms of music*. Emo's are just sheep - they get the generic hair cut (fringe over one eye, died black or black with bleach blonde patches), listen to the generic music (Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy etc.), and wear the same generic clothes (skinny jeans, incredibly ugly scarves, tight fitting band tee and new rox [this is just the blokes]) - there's no individuality there whatsoever.
* - term used extremely loosely.

Re: Why the "emo" hatred????
We all go through phases, i always wanted long hair like some wild man of rock and wore a biker jacket, ripped jeans etc, looking back i looked a right T**t!!!!! eventually you`ll grow out of it and if the music is good enough your individual taste will stay with you for life, enjoy it while it lasts, don`t worry what anyone says. (God i`m dreading my daughters getting to this stage!!!! LOL.) i`ll just keep reminding myself of this post.ROCK ON
