Re: 2014/15 Prediction League - Game 42 v Cambridge United (away)

Ange has gone away for the weekend and has phoned her prediction through and it was either a bad line or she's been on Wynonie's tablets 8-4 to Stanley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not really Ange B goes 2-1 to Cambridge

Re: 2014/15 Prediction League - Game 42 v Cambridge United (away)

Seamus Late Late Show Gives 6 Point Swing To Keep Our League Alive

As the Cambridge announcer told us there would be a minimum of 5 minutes additional time, the Prediction League looked to be coming to an early conclusion as Ange B was about to gain yet another maximum for a 2-1 defeat , with NigeB looking at a single bonus point and Deeayess at a blank. The inter-B gap would have been 25 points with 20 left to play for - even Jean Van de Velde couldn't muck that up . Then Nicky Hunt came over all committed and Seamus Conneely was in the right place at the right time for the second successive game , hitting the ball rather harder than last time , to steal 4 points from Ange and gift 2 to Nige , leaving the gap at 19. And incidentally gaining Stanley a point which leaves Tranmere (currently 23rd in a different league) 12 points behind us, with 12 to play, and therefore even less likely to overtake .

At least D3N and I know we won't have to have duplicate trophies available in 2 different venues ready for presentation at the end of the season, as we now know which house the trophy is going to, or would be going to if we had a trophy in the first place, that is.

With Hartlepool rolling on up tomorrow, I'll leave this there noting only that Norwich Stanley's default provided him with the only maximum of the week, raising him from 20th to 14th , and someone called Monkey Hanger joined the competition, gaining 1 point, for the first time 3 days before we play the Monkey Hangers - is this a coincidence I ask myself?

On Stanley On!!
