Re: 2014/15 Prediction League - Game 44 v Stevenage FC (home)

Seven Still In With Chance Of Minor Podium Places

Most of our Top Ten allowed dislike of Stevenage to overcome their normal inclination to pragmatic forecasting , with overall only 5 expecting us to lose and 6 draw with a side who are still in with a good chance of a playoff place - and after Nicky Hunt's early bath (is there a bath in the portakabin ) things didn't look good for the faithful optimists. 88 minutes later they looked pretty damn good , but the late goal against put the fencesitters in the ascendancy yet again.

3 spot-ons for a maximum, making reasonable moves as a result - Revived Red (24th-20th), LongLostSon (19th-14th) and Norwich Stanley (11th-8th - by default - said I wouldn't stay in the Top Ten for long ). 3 others taking 3 points - Kiwi John (30th-27th), Bdc (7th-5th) and - surprise, surprise - AngeB stretching her unassailable lead by a further 2 points, and equalling C'mon Stanley's record points score. Down at the bottom, another point for Monkeyhanger's 3rd go lifts him from 47th= to 44th.

Back to the top, and only Teach (who missed this one ) and Deeayess can threaten Nige B's second place, but Bdc, Football19, Accybeme and Norwich Stanley could all steal the third place on the podium. And in the real world, two more wins for the reds could see us finish ahead of Morecambe who aren't going to get much out of Wycombe and Southend in their last two games ..... so roll on the Daggers (think I might make that one) and Mansfield, both beatable.

On Stanley On!!
