1-1 predictions by me have been working well for Stanleys win column. We shall stick to that formula.

Re: 2015/16 Prediction League; Game 44 v York City (home)

Title Race Tightens Up As Leaders Fail To Take Bonuses

Highly curious this week , as the top 7 all took the basic 3 points for forecasting our win , but none of them found the 3 or the 0 for bonus points . The next 4 all added 1 bonus point, and AccyMad in 12th was the highest placed player to take the max 5. This resulted in no positional changes whatsoever in the first 13 places, but a general concertina-ing (is that a word?) leaving the top 8 covered by 2 points . But at the top of the heap it's still Leylandii by a point from Mab, holding off Cashman on countback, with both a point clear of the pack. The lowest placed player with a theoretical chance of winning the league is now Revived Red in 17th.

Second highest maxi-scorer was Tom D, which enabled him to climb above 3 point Tommy McQueen into 14th, then Ossy Kid who overtook 4 point Revived Red and 4 point me on countback to take 16th. The final maxi was Accybeme who moved up from 36th to 35th at Winstanley's expense.

The biggest mover was 4 point Andy D who gained 3 places, 27th to 24th, thanks to starting just behind 3 of the 4 drawmongers, who I think are all playing reverse psychology games now (keep going - it seems to be working ), and all managed to avoid scoring any points at all and dropping back a place or 3 as a result. No pessimists this week .

So .... roll on the Chairboys. And come on York (sorry about yesterday) and Carlisle, wouldn't it be so nice to seal it next week?

On Stanley On!!
