Romy's Double Scuppers Kiwi's Ditto As Accy Goes Mad And AccyMad Goes Top

11 people got 5 points this week, 6 got 4 and another 7 got 3 - 24 optimists rescued from oblivion by Romy's late double (to be fair, the 11 would have got a BP for the Tangerines' free kick creeping in at the near post ). 5 drawmongers all got a point, and 3 pessimists didn't .

With 5 minutes to go, the as-it-stands table would, if I was sad enough to try to maintain it during a game, have shown Accybeme closing down the leaders, level on points with Accymad, though still behind on countback, with Kiwi John just a point ahead on top. At the end of normal time, Kiwi would have landed two consecutive maxis and been 5 points clear of AccyMad , with Mab 2 behind her and Accybeme 4th. But when the whistle went, it showed AccyMad back on top , 2 points clear of Mab, with Kiwi relegated to 3rd - and Accybeme crashed back down to 14th .

The Top Ten is back to 10 from 12 this week , with Outback Ozzy and Tom D leaving along with Accybeme, and Proccy Fan joining the elite from 14th last time.

For the record, the 11 maxis were AccyMad, AccyTom18, DaveinGermany, Leylandii, Mab, MikeA, NigeB, Proccy Fan, Revived Red, Tommy McQueen and me

So it's creep on Crawley, with Portsmouth and Grimsby to chase, and 7 teams including Morecambe to keep below us. We could be anywhere from 5th to 14th when next I write (which incidentally won't be until Friday week). 5th would be better! On Stanley On!!
