Taypot On A Roll As The Window Takes Its Toll

Only Ossy Kid climbed over the fence to predict defeat to the Gas, but five stayed on it to take points from the first goalless draw of the season. Amongst them, late-starting Taypot was the only one to score a maxi , lifting him from 29th to 26th in the main table, and into 2nd place on the non-existent percentage league.

The other 4 included Lord Stiffupperlip and Kiwi John, who head the table with Milord 7 points clear of the Kiwi, with Cashman now a couple of points adrift in 3rd. MonkeyHanger made a strong move from 13th to 9th, with Ossy Kid's pessimism being rewarded with eviction from the Top Ten. And at the other end of the table, Pifco also made a move, from 24th to 21st.

Turning to the faithful, nine picked up a bonus point by backing Jonny Maxted for a very welcome clean sheet following Connor's departure for Preston via Middlesborough ( an odd choice of route it seems to me). Most of the elite managed this, the exceptions being Mab and Leylandii, allowing Mike A to sneak past them and up to 7th.

So, disaster averted and we roll on to the Valley next Saturday, after the first week in ages without a midweek game of some sort. Will we still have a squad as the transfer window drags on? But our youth team could probably sort out the Addicks, don't you think?

On Stanley On!!
