Re: 2019/20 Prediction League; Game 29 v Peterborough United (home)

Landing the only Maxi gives Stevie R a boost

We were a well balanced team for the Posh game (that's the Prediction League team, not the boys in red ), with 10 staying loyal, 10 leaping the fence, and 7 perching on top. And, regrettably , it was the leapers who also leapt up the table.

As headlined, only one maxi , which went to Stevie R and propelled him from 10th to 6th. Our top 3 were all in the faithless 10, with Monkey Hanger's 4 points moving him a further point clear of Valairian in second, and Nige B's moving him a point closer in third (65 plays 58 plays 57). Accybeme also took 4 , to move up from 5th to 4th. As did Taypot (16th to 12th), Accytom18 (17th to 14th) and AngeB (24th to 20th). The others banking just 3 points , in addition to Val, were StanleyJosh (12th to 11th) and Tommy McQueen (26th to 25th).

Kiwi, Wyn and the Oszys were the only people to pluck a bonus point (for "Posh 2") from the wreckage of their more optimistic dreams .

So - roll on the Wombles. This is beginning to look just a bit serious , and this would be a particularly good moment for the first win of the decade, don't we all think?

On Stanley On!!
