Maxis Everywhere As Stanley Find Their Feet

Maybe it was being at home , maybe it was playing the Plastic Dons , but this game saw most of you scrambling back over the fence in support of the Reds this weekend. 17 on the right side, which thankfully actually was the right side , 9 perched undecidedly on top and just 3 expecting further misery . And of the 17 faithful and successful optimists, 12 got the score right too, so collected 5 points for their efforts. 5 more got one of the bonus points, and just 2 of us (including me ) got it right but totally wrong and settled for the basic 3 points.

Last week's Top Three (Nige B, Stanley Josh and Kiwi John) were all amongst the faithless and the drawmongers , most of whom picked up a single bonus point. As a result, they are now the Second Three, with Outback Ozzy and Revived Red now equal top of the heap, separated only by alphabetical order, with Valairian also equal on points but placing 3rd on countback. They were all amongst the maxis, together with (deep breath) Accymad, Accytom18, Choirboy, DaveinGermany, Leylandii, Mab, MikeA, Proccy Fan and Tommy McQueen.

New entries to the game (new this season anyway) were Dav007 and Pifco who with 1 and 4 points respectively now sit 34th= and 28th=. Ferret Man is showing his strength by holding us all up in 36th with 0 from 1.

And so, after a Leasing.com (wtf) Trophy rematch against the Cod Army, the serious business rolls on to Brizzle with, hopefully, a spring in our step and a nice little run in the making. We've turned the corner, now we need to prove it wasn't into a cul-de-sac . On Stanley On!!
