The Gap Closes as Realists Prosper

I hope you don't mind if I avoid all mention of the score .....

If you carefully considered all the evidence available to you, such as league position, recent form, players out injured etc, and came to a logical decision based on that evidence, and made your prediction accordingly, you scored points, as you would expect . How many points was determined by whether or not you thought the losing team would score at all.

As a result of which, six players took four points and three took three . Which left seventeen of us with nothing at all , and quite a few changes to the prediction league table.

Taking the four-pointers first, StanleyJosh reduced Outback Ozzy's long-standing lead at the top to a mere 3 points . AccyTom18 leapt from 6th to 3rd, pushing Watchdog off the podium. Cashman followed in AT18's footsteps, moving from 7th to 4th. Kiwi John made a giant leap for a bird , from 19th to 11th, Stanleyhouse managed 20th to 16th, and Ossy Kid 22nd to 17th.

Turning to the three-pointers, Valairian remained in 5th, overtaking Watchdog and me but being overtaken in turn by AT18 and Cashy ; Nige B moved up from 13th to 10th, evicting Taypot from the top table, and Monkey Hanger climbed, as apes do , from 17th to 13th.

So, roll on the Brewers on Good Friday. Let's hope it is indeed good for us, as away to Oxford on Easter Monday has every possibility of being evil, don'tcha think

On Stanley On!!
