National certainty????

There is a horse running in tomorrow's Grand National called "Red Striker"....the name alone has got to be worth a few quid of any Stanley fan's money[haven't checked his form or even how many legs he has!]

Well I backed the winner of last years race cos his name was Monty's....something.....anyway it had Monty in the name cos it reminded me of Monty python and I won £60. Can't be bad, eh.

Red Striker has been withdrawn from the National in the last few hours. Last years winner was Monty's Pass - I also backed it and won £20 (£2 stake! Last of the big spenders!). I chose the horse because the name reminded me of the Uncle Monty character in the classic British film 'Withnail and I'. If you haven't seen it then I'd recommend it. The horse runs again tomorrow and is probably a good each way bet.

I might back it again cos he's cool. He won £80 between us, why not.

I was on the same track as you Lindsay - went to back Red Striker & was told it was withdrawn so my money's gone on 'What's Up Boys' - here's hoping for a good result at Aintree & the IES!!
