Forum rules, guidelines and etiquette - ***Please read***

Hello & welcome to the Accrington Stanley Forum:D

If you're a follower of another league club not ASFC, then please read before posting this applies especially to you.

Basic rules/etiquette of the stanley forum:

1) Upon your first post please state [if not obvious in username] club you support, ie hi I'm a suchabodyfc supporter, reason, so therefore avoids confusion when members reply, helps also in terms of topic - rather than presuming upon topic. We do welcome visiting fans here as well as at the crown ground, BUT as in life we do not come into peoples houses without an intro.

2) If as a visiting fan your only objective is to come here for an argument, wind up or trolling - this then contravenes the rules of the forum & you will be banned, please respect the forum. We don't object to sensible discussions or topics.

3) The forum is monitored constantly and has a report system in place. Please under no circumstances argue with a moderator/admin on the forum there is a pm system to use should u have a complaint [applies to all members] & the moderators decision is final, no point arguing the toss after as you will be banned should this persist. If you have a problem the contact a moderator through pm or report to the admin team. Posts can be reported by clicking the red triangle under the poster's name. This sends a report to the moderators allowing them to act quicker and doesn't clog up the thread asking for moderators to check the thread.

4) Swearing is not allowed, personal abuse [banter is fine], racial, defamatory, libelous posts or other inappropriate behavior will be removed, warnings given then bans could follow if persistent. Posts can be taken down due to football clubs/fa/fl concerns should we receive any consultation. The use of asterisks or other symbols is disguise swearing is not allowed and will be treated as swearing.

5) Spam posts will result in automatic bans from our spambot, these include links like 'join our footy forum', advertising links, betting ads, porn etc, members who have no intention of joining in on the forum & using for own means - if in any doubt pm a moderator for advice before doing so.

6) No copyrighted material from any club unless expressed permission to do so, as this is the stanley forum representatives from the club do post, even fixture list is copyrighted, bbc links are fine as long as they are the official site, same being from football club links - other media if in doubt will be removed otherwise left, depends on mod/admin decision for legal reasons.

7) Banned means banned, if a user that is banned re registers - thats an automatic ban offence.

8) Advertising is not allowed on the forum.

9) Please keep signatures to a small size, as large type is distracting to other forum members.

10) Please only post links to news page or fishy site & NOTHING else as this is just the Stanley section of the forum and you must describe the link so people know what they are clicking.

These rules can be added to or changed should a new problem arises at the moderators/admin discretion.
We want to encourage discussion on this forum and that includes criticism as well as praise however, silly, mindless criticism of individuals will not to be tolerated and such posts/threads will be deleted.

This forum is a community forum that has its football team section attached, hence why it's not the same as a general free footy forums that is about, this site is privately paid for, which allows users to partake for free, so there is need for strict moderation & rules. Please enjoy your time with us & hope that you enjoy the forum:D
