Accrington Stanley Youngest Player ??

I've just recently bought FM13 and was looking at the History of Stanley and the youngest player stat. It says Bobby Grant is the youngest at 16 308 days so I checked FM12 and it says Jason Jeffries 16 190 days but FM11 says Bobby Grant again !!!

Anyway I'm writing in as it has Haggis as top scorer so amateur days must count. I remember playing when I was 15 351 days I have the cutting somewhere from the Observer but I think I was a sub, the cutting just mentions playing Glossop the next game. I remember my first full game was against Prescott Cables we won 1-0 and I have the cutting for that also but don't know the date can anyone help with any of this ?

Cheers

aged 16 and 24 days.

Your game as sub was against St Helens on the 2nd April (1-1 Parr)

You are our youngest appearance maker without a doubt Martin its just that lazy national journalists wouldn't know where to look to get the real stats so just use FA records for FL games. Get writing to 'em!

i'm slowly gathering line ups from here and there over the years but its far from complete so if any programme collectors out there can offer me final programmes of the season for as many seasons as keep line up records I'd be grateful.

I dont think they were done though until around 87

I remember that I knocked a cross from the right (clubhouse side) into the bottom corner at the away end as it is now. I remember Haggis hugging me !!!:eek:

That's very nice of you Mr T, I remember winning Young Player of the Year and my Father won the Clubman of the Year (must be 30 years ago !!) at the same time I still have the trophies in the house :)

Always wanted to play for my Home Town and was proud to do so but as I was young I got messed about by several Managers bringing in their own players who only came for a bit of money really and I was happy to play for nothing which was frustrating.

I remember beating Gateshead in the FA Cup at their ground when they were a top team that was a great night. I played mostly in the Reserves with local players like Ste Bramwell, Ged Kitchen and Keith Windle who was my PE Teacher as well as Paul Beck who went on to do a great job for the club.

Good times
