He was voted their player of the season.

He's an attacking left back/ left midfielder, scored a good few goals, scouser as well.

Got told by a Chester fan we are in for him, they are gutted the club didn't give him a new deal, not sure why but think it could be wages.

If he wants more money doubt he's coming to us

Not a chance Pearson will still be here at the start of the season.

Hardly a surprise for Peter, feel for him but I think all those injuries have caught up with him

Poor Murph, hope he's got his head screwed on & has a back up plan sorted for after he stopped playing, probably didn't expect it to happen so soon though bless him. Best of luck in whatever he decides to do next

Terrible news that Peters injuries have ended his career in football, watch the lad from a very young age mature into a great player, with his career ending so early lack of income must be a concern, with him having spent the majority of his career at Stanley, would a Morecambe v Stanley testimonial be in the offing

Really sorry to hear about Peter Murphy's enforced retirement from playing football. He was a big-hearted player for Stanley and, once he (and Professor Coleman) settled on his midfield position, he scored some fantastic goals at fantastic times.
He will live on in the memory whenever Stanley score a winner in "Murphy Time".
