Re: Former Players!
Foregone conclusion.
We all knew last season that Crooksy deserved to be playing at least one league above us. Perhaps Glasgow Rangers was a step too far, but good luck to the lad. |
Re: Former Players!
Good move for the Crooksy,
Was with two rangers season ticket holders over Xmas, and it's staggering how they make their judgments on a twenty minute cameo after being injured for nine months!! Just needs to get playing again. Pompey were in for him as well |
Re: Former Players!
So glad he didn't end up at Portsmouth
|
Re: Former Players!
Some Rangers fans were going mad on a Rangers Facebook group saying how the should release Crooksy because he said he wanted to go out on loan to get match fit!
Aparrently he was showing lack of fight and loyalty to stay at Rangers and fight for his place...unbelievable some fans |

There are also a lot of fans think he can come back and be a great player despite the fact that he has not looked it in the three games he has played in plus the under 20 games on top of those. The worrying thing is he couldn't get a game despite a lack of midfield players, even from the bench. He was always going to go on loan to a team higher up than Accy if he was to try and break into the Rangers team unfortunately. |

3 assists 16 games They should be biting Hulls hands off. If he isnt good enough for the SPL then he wont be good enough for the EPL |

Re: Former Players!
I had a lurk on the Scunthorpe forum. Crooks not mentioned as a hero or zero as far as I can tell. They have a "player scores for the season so far" in which he seems to get an average rating....possibly slightly above average.

Re: Former Players!
Morecambe Red - Stanley only made two fouls in the first 60 minutes. Maybe if your players had such discipline the ref wouldn't be forced into awarding free kicks in dangerous places, booking players and the like?

Re: Former Players!

Sousa, 22, joined Accrington on 13 February, but registration issues meant the former Portugal Under-19 international did not play a game. He made 30 appearances for Slovenia's NK Celje last season, after spending the 2013-14 season at Barnsley. "He has good pace so will add something to the squad we already have here," Tranmere manager Micky Mellon said. Mellon was on the coaching staff at Barnsley during Sousa's time at Oakwell. Tranmere are third in the National League, two points off the automatic promotion places with 10 matches left to play. |
Re: Former Players!
So how do tranmere get him registered but not us
|
Re: Former Players!
Good question - maybe they haven't yet & will run into similar difficulties?
|
Re: Former Players!
Quote:
Didn't take Micky Mellon long to snap him up. It will be interesting to see if he helps Tranmere achieve promotion? |
Re: Former Players!
Would Tranmere have the same problem as Stanley with them playing non-league football may be different rules.

Re: Former Players!
Have to admit as hard as it is that on the night Stanley where far superior than my lot and deserved their victory.
I'm no Coley fan but have to admire how he appears to have changed his managment style during game time. Rather than being vocal as he used to be he appears to stand back and let the players do his talking for him. Still a long way to go in this season yet and from our perspective we appear to be safe but the off field goings on are having a detrimental affect on the players and their futures as MFC or elsewhere. As for the ex Stanley players the only one who reall y is off his game is Murphy but maybe his injuires are finally catching up with him. As for the otehrs they certainly had an off night to be sure. |
