You don't offer someone terms if you think they're only average.
Perhaps it has more to do with his regular position - LEFT WING!
Who would have to be dropped to give him a go?????

Oh, ffs! Here we go again . . . . . .

Re: Former Players!

Although Acci played all the football for 60 minutes, the stats show each team had only three shots on target during the game.
I think each keeper had one shot of note to save.
Think the big difference was Acci were too big and strong at the back and never looked like conceding (except the last ten minutes).
This gave them a platform to win the ball and control the tempo of the game.
This also allowed Shay to drop off get on the ball and attack at pace.
Ironic really that the two goals were a free kick and a hoof ball clearance!!.
I have seen Acci have 20+ shots and not score !!,so its about time we had a good conversion rate !!
Game on Saturday will be different,so i hope there is some fuel left in the tank
and keep the run going.

Only 2 fouls in 60 minutes possibly due to the referee ignoring the fact that Beckles had his arms round a forward's body and holding them at every corner !

Are we signing Johnny Hunt who was released/walked away from Chester City?

He was voted their player of the season.

He's an attacking left back/ left midfielder, scored a good few goals, scouser as well.

Terrible news that Peters injuries have ended his career in football, watch the lad from a very young age mature into a great player, with his career ending so early lack of income must be a concern, with him having spent the majority of his career at Stanley, would a Morecambe v Stanley testimonial be in the offing

Really sorry to hear about Peter Murphy's enforced retirement from playing football. He was a big-hearted player for Stanley and, once he (and Professor Coleman) settled on his midfield position, he scored some fantastic goals at fantastic times.
He will live on in the memory whenever Stanley score a winner in "Murphy Time".

Re: Former Players!

NewsNow: Loading story...
Blackburn Rovers ace Conor Mahoney is close to completing a move to Nottingham Forest, according to a source cited by the*Nottingham Post.
The source “close to the deal” claims personal terms have been agreed between Mahoney’s representatives and Forest, and that he is set to undergo a medical at the club.
The 20-year-old right-sided attacker’s contract at Ewood Park runs out this summer, meaning he can join the East Midlands club on a free transfer.
It is said that Forest will be due to pay compensation fee to Blackburn because Mahoney is under the age of 24, but that is the only factor standing in the way of the deal being completed.
This comes after*HITC Sport*reported that Forest were interested in signing the 20-year-old forward.
Meanwhile, a*Daily Mail*report claimed Celtic were ready to rival the City Ground club in the race to secure his services.
Mahoney enjoyed a solid 2016-17 season for Rovers, supplying three assists*in 14 Championship outings.
However, he shone for the club’s Under-23s outfit, bagging four goals in 11 Premier League 2 appearances, as well as providing two assists.
The 20-year-old joined Blackburn in late 2013 from Accrington Stanley, and he has since played 57 league and cup games for the club’s Under-23s. Plus Wolves are interested QUESTION is will there be a sell on fee coming to Stanley :)
