I thought at first it was for next season, great idea if so but it says it's for the 17/18 season??

As I read it, it is for this season, but it says we are looking to be working with them in the future also... "This agreement will now be in place with Zebra Finance moving forward and will offer the ability for you to pay for next years season ticket over 3, 6 or even a 9 month payment plan"

:) :) :)

It is for this season and allows you to pay full price plus 8% for a Season Ticket after over a third of the games have already been played.

Representative 47.7% APR fixed.

"Simple and effective".

Well I for one will NOT be taking up this years option, however, 18/19 season I probably will. One question I do have though, if you buy the season ticket at the early bird price, will you still be able to pay over 3, 6 or 9 months? I somehow doubt it, but we shall see.

Re: Season Tickets!

Has anybody else done the maths ?

There are 15 home games left so if you bought a membership card for £20 and then paid £15 for each of those 15 games your total outlay would be £245

In other words, 40 quid cheaper than this sham of a scheme and you have the satisfaction that you haven't given parasites like Zebra Finance a penny.

Why the hell does it have to be subject to status? Just do what other clubs do and if someone stops paying the card stops giving admission its really not rocket science.

Andys missed a trick here if he wanted a scheme like this just fund it himself at least that way the administration fees and interest could go straight to the club instead of Zebra finance in deal that benefits no one but them.

Re: Season Tickets!

could the club not issue vouchers that people could purchase and then pass on to fans in the form of birthday, xmas presents ect.

I personally think its a good idea, it works well for Bradford from what I hear. Northern Soul seems to have a chip on his shoulder about this one. They are offering finance so why shouldn't they charge interest?

Also I think saying Andy should fund it himself is ridiculous . It would cost more to manage it .

Re: Season Tickets!

No chip on my shoulder at all.

All i was doing was pointing out that i dont see many buying them when the cost of doing so is 40 quid dearer than just buying a membership card and paying £15 on the gate each game.

And i fail to see what you think is ridiculous about doing something that saves the fans money and avoids paying a large chunk of money to a company that are simply parasites on the game.

There are plenty of clubs throughout the league that self fund their own schemes and dont charge any interest and only very minimal admin charges. And if you think about it doing so on a full season deal actually helps the club with its financial planning as it knows it has a regular sum of x amount of coming in from the direct debits every month.Yes i guess you have to learn to live without the cash injection from ST sales in the summer but i guess companies like Zebra dont pay out straight away either.

All it would need is for either Andy or his company to be willing to put an amount in during the summer and then recover it on a monthly basis as the Direct Debit payments come in over the next 9 months and eventually as it settles down the club becomes used to having its income spread out more evenly over the year the relliance on the summer loan reduces over time. Not sure why you think it would be so hard to administrate if there were say 500 ST holders on the scheme paying say a £15 admin charge thats £7500 easily enough to pay a bit of overtime for the girls in the office to handle the paperwork which would reduce drastically it there was a website that allowed people to set the direct debits up themselves online as most clubs have.

I dont think the current offer is anything but an attempt on the back of the current good run and league position to persuade people who might have done say 75% of the remaining games to pay for all of them and theres nothing in the slightest bit wrong with that its just the figures that dont add up due to the involvement of Zebra.
