Blessed Are The Pessimists, For They Shall Prosper Whilst Stanley Struggle
And this time there were pessimists in number, 7 to be precise , despite Bradford's lowly position in the table. Perhaps the 8 goal swing in goal difference between the two teams on Saturday provided a clue which others missed  …… The other 17 were, once again, pointless :( with not a bonus point to share amongst us. 4 of the magnificent  7 contented themselves with 3 points. This was enough to see Football 19 (10th to 6th) and Ossy Kid (14th to 10th) on the up, but only closed the gap for Accytom18 (staying 15th). The 4th 3-pointer was Lord Stiffupperlip, extending his lead at the top to 7 points over Cashman and Kiwi John. 4 points and limited progress for Nige B, taking 16th from DaveinGermany, but 4 points and no gains for Pifco, remaining 24th. And the single maxi went to Taypot :), who came into the game late but is now closing in on the main pack, still in 29th but 10 points clear of most of the occasionals, with a highly respectable points per game average of 1.88. Nobody dropped more than a single place apart from Revived Red, falling out of the elite from 9th to 11th :(. So - time for another bit of light relief :), with cup games against Ipswich and Bury to come before the serious stuff resumes when Brizzle roll up on Saturday week. Hopefully on Sunday week I will resume drivelling in a happier mood than I am in today - ee, it's grim down South at the moment ;) On Stanley On!! |
