New Football Rules
Some interesting new rules coming into effect from next season from the IFAB (football lawmakers)
1. Accidental Handball goals won't count. As it says really, any goal scored by the hand or arm won't count, regardless if the intention was deliberate or accidental. (Aguero scored one recently that as he slid bounced off his arm, correctly given as a goal but if happened next season will be disallowed) 2. Substituted players can leave the pitch at the closest point Hopefully stopping the 90minute subs of a player taking an age to walk to the dugout once substituted, any substituted player can now leave the pitch at the nearest point. 3. No attacking players in the wall. Attackers must now stand 1 meter away from the wall, to stop defenders being moved out the way. There was a rumour that a rule was coming in to stop goals being scored from rebounds from penalties, this rule will not come in to affect next season as it stands. |

"2. Substituted players can leave the pitch at the closest point."
Hopefully stopping the 90 minute subs of a player taking an age to walk to the dugout once substituted, any substituted player can now leave the pitch at the nearest point. Stanley Josh.... I think the rule is that a player who is subbed HAS to leave the pitch by the nearest touchline. If it was ...."He CAN leave the pitch by the nearest touchline then he would still choose the 'Longest Walk' if his team were winning! |
Re: New Football Rules
Sky have now admitted they were wrong about the penalty rebounds. Law stays as at present.

Re: New Football Rules
it this substitute thing CAN or HAS. can see a problem happening if a player has to walk round half the ground passing opposition supporters to get back to the bench or dressing rooms. will armed escorts be available for em at places like the new den.

Re: New Football Rules
Just let the game go on while the change is being made (unless the player going off IS hurt) keeping the sub off till the player has left the pitch, think they will get off a hell of a lot quicker.

Re: New Football Rules
When a player is injured the refs watch is supposed to stop so if he takes ten seconds or 5 minutes shouldn't matter, the refs should make it obvious that the time has stopped though.
These idiots at the F.A. are slowly ruining the great game. The biggest problem with today's game are all the fairies up and down the park. |
