Not a great deal to worry about we have mainly difficult games but those below us play each other a few times. imho

Re: the last 4 games

I don't see Bradford, Southend or Walsall catching us but unless we get a couple more points any of the other teams can catch us, it could come down to goal difference and we are pretty good in that department. It's going to be a game by game nervy watch. 3 point off Luton would be more than welcome.

being unbeaten for the next 3 games should also see us safe. luton seem to be stuttering a bit now, you never know how doncaster are going to perform and we seem to do ok against plymouth at home.

Re: the last 4 games

Results except our own been going our way lately, but that couldn't last forever. Saw that some people on the forum were happy with todays's results, but I am not. Wins for Rochdale, Wycombe and Southend were not quite cancelled out by defeats for Scunthorpe and Plymouth. Plymouth's home defeat was good news of course, but we still probably need to beat them.

I think we are safe if we beat Plymouth but if we do not it is not looking so good. If that is our only point we will most likely go down. A result tomorrow seems unlikely, but could make a huge difference.

Walsall and Bradford will go down. But Plymouth (if they get a result against us) and Southend have better goal difference, and Scunny have Bradford at home. That's why even a single point at Doncaster could be worth celebrating.

Some very weird arguments (and personal abuse) on this forum of late.
I think it’s a bit futile to question Coley’s management and attempt to pick out selected things you don’t like. Got to take the all round package and on that basis we are so lucky to have Coleman.
Maybe we could get a manager with a plan A, B and C, who uses 3 subs every match. But that means sod all.

Anyway, hopefully we get will something v Plymouth but if not then it doesn’t really matter. We will still be in the same league as Bradford and a league above Stockport and Notts Co.

Simpson 22-04-2019 21:50

Re: the last 4 games

I think Gregor is correct, I’ve been reading the posts on results and thinking I’m being way too pessimistic when others are upbeat.

A point tomorrow would be brilliant, but if not then a draw with Plymouth sends both teams down with maybe Plymouth having a gasp at home to Scunthorpe.

Playing Bradford gives Wimbledon and Scunthorpe massive opportunities which I think both will take..

To be fair, Bradford did take a point off Gillingham yesterday so maybe, now their goose is cooked, they're free from stress and can play without fear of failing ....... Not guaranteed they'll lose to the Iron and/or the Wombles. They might even do us a favour!

:alright:

I too hope so. I just looked at the goals in the Bradford game yesterday and the players looked very young. A quick look at the line up and squad numbers reminds me of a bingo card, very few are 1 to 11 and a couple in the 30's and 40's number from memory.

As you say, hopefully that gives them a bounce, but we need to do it ourselves.

Not quite, we need both Wimbledon and Scunthorpe to drop points to ensure safety, however, it will be immaterial if we score more goals than Plymouth on Saturday.

True. But dreadful combinations do happen. Blackpool fans who are old enough might recall how 'pool got themselves relegated in 78. Every result went against them.

But a Stanley win on Sat, a defeat for Southend or a non win for Wimbledon will do it.

Spartacus, youre clearly a troll. You come on here out of nowhere and start slagging off long-respected forum legends on every thread in an attempt to get a rise.

Look, Cashman may be the ultimate keyboard warrior, but hes our keyboard warrior! Can we not just have a single conversation without people slandering one another and focus on the simple truth - regardless of survival (probable) or relegation (unlikely) that weve finished this season in the highest finish weve ever seen!

Agree cashy pitch has worked against us a draw will be enough Saturday but yes a win great then next season with we hope a super duper surface and some shrewd additions to squad we could be a surprise package in league 1 would like Smyth to return because on a decent surface he looks the business but probably unlikely unless released and he wants to return.

Barlaser struggling to agree terms with Newcastle.
Lots of clubs interested in him, both Championship and abroad.

Paul Lambert has already come out and said he wants JD to be at Ipswich next year.
Appreciate can't take it as gospel but JD happy to work with him over summer.

Don't know about Smyths situation but imagine he will go to a higher club on loan or feature for QPRs matchday squad next year.

Armstrong not really made an impact.

Gibson a strange one. We were close to signing permanently then Coley backs out and only has on loan. Out of contract in summer and Newcastle happy for him to leave.
Noticed he's not been mentioned in the 'injury' list for Plymouth game on website. Imagine dropped? Fitness must be an issue.

Its going to be an interesting summer.
Coley is going to have to generate funds and speculate to accumulate.
Somebody will have to go that generates a fee - maybe more than one.
Its who comes in through the door that's going to be intriguing.
