Tranmere (home) thread

Frustrating home defeat, if we had won I feel we could have felt safe but we have handed the submarines an olive branch and I feel we need 2 wins to make sure we maintain are hard fought league 1 status.
The game, first 10 minutes we started off really well, Clark and Johnson caused lots of problems. They scored there goal, Bursik mistake but I suppose all goalies have them occasionally. We shouldn't have allowed a header on goal in the first place. After this we struggled to get playing again. I don't remember Scott Davies having to make a decent save from this point. There second goal I feel finlay could have cleared his lines.
Despite Scott Davies profercating the home fans there is absolutely no place for spitting on him. A terrible example to set to our young fans.
The team tried there best but it just wasn't to be.
Good flag display and minutes silence before hand.
It's going to be tough ahead with our defensive injuries and suspensions along with difficult fixtures but hopefully we can scramble the necessary points.
I watched the video of the chap (Harry Stephenson) that died this morning/recently. Truly inspirational and emotionally, helps remind you of the spirit of our club and how we need to vocally support them to get them over the safety line so we can sing, "the Stanley's staying up!"

Maybe the thread about the season being over needs resurrecting.
Dion needs to take his blinkers off and bring others into the game.
That miss in the early minutes was a shocker.
Zanzala needs moving to Conference North - his standard.
Totally utterly and completely frustrated by that team performance.

Nothing more to add to your comments, twenty eight!

Bursik made quite a few errors last few months.
Finley very immobile in the middle for large parts of the game.
Agree with Twenty Eight re; Dion
Baffled as to why we played so many through balls to Colby.
I think conference north is too good for Ozzy at the moment. Something just clearly isn’t right with him, every game after a 10 yard run he seems to pull up.

Banned for two and as sure as eggs are eggs that will be extended to three when the Rochdale matter is sorted.

the goal today was NOT Bursiks fault. it hit a bump in the box and bounced up.

Let’s not beat about the bush.
Had it not been for Bury’s demise, Bolton’s points deduction and the unexpected capitulation of Sarfend we would have been in a whole heap of the brown stuff.
Safe in my opinion ..... but for all the wrong reasons.

Bursik already wrong footed before the ball hit the ground.
Can think of at least 4 goals he should have done a lot better with since start of year...
No one mentioned but a lot of criticism for Dimi previously

The spitting overshadowed the game for me. Disgusting and unprovoked. Other fans laughing was just as bad.
I could see a fan went and spoke to the stewards to finger the culprit. I also spoke to a steward afterwards.
Young kids gesticulating at the keeper afterwards showed how they are influenced by such crap behaviour.

The other thing of note was the penalty area. Far too much sand. Compacted mud would be better.

Ref was poor, we were rubbish.

You can blame bad luck, missed chances, the pitch, or the join the ship of fools blaming the officials - the truth is we weren't good enough to beat Tranmere today.
I thought after witnessing the humiliation by Southend, things couldn't possibly get any worse, today proved me wrong.
There will come a time for many fans, forced to endure another home defeat by a team doomed to relegation, to say 'enough is enough'.
'Predictable' would be a kind adjective to describe today's performance. 'Inept' would be nearer the mark.
Tranmere barely had to break sweat to secure all three points - they even scored all 3 goals.
Our attempts to score would have shamed a team of schoolboys, never mind professional footballers from L1.
Finley in particular, but by no means exclusively, was guilty of numerous wild shots embarrassingly off-target.
Thank God we've already got 40 points!
Thank God we've still got Jordan Clark!
With perhaps 3 or 4 exceptions, most of our team would be lucky to get a game in the Conference.
On today's performance, we'd be lucky to beat Morecambe.
Woe is me!

now we know how all the ‘better’ teams felt every season we got promoted from Non-League felt when we beat them...

Well if Dav007 gets his way he should be dropped because he wont be in Coley’s plans for next year.
That could also include our Captain.
Jesus wept.
Just looked through our remaining fixtures ..........
Safe ?
Probably because Tranmere will falter.
