League season to end next wk

Looking like the season is been ended in a EFL vote by the clubs! https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/...season-2846950

Yet again though speculation taking the headlines no transparency to fans from the EFL have to rely on snippets from likes of your good self. Yesterday's government briefing suggesting that with easing of lockdown saying we will have to get used to a new normality football crowds at games look a long way off. Even a club like ours with gates on average around 2800 average players will have to take paycuts and I think there will be reduced squad numbers with youth playing a bigger part.. Personally think however this season is decided it will be pretty irrelevant going into the future.

The EFL has nothing YET to tell fans;

They've already put out one public statement.

Until Boris addresses the Nation and the DCMS come back to Professional Sport in general saying nowt ( I believe) is correct.

Problem is the journalists that are still working are looking for "stories" to keep them busy

The government briefing I was referring to has nothing to do with journalists, also sports journalism will have its scources some speculation but also a lot close to the truth. But whatever plan they choose the EFL football clubs are a buissness like other businesses and unless they come up with a reputable financial support frame and clubs cost cutting etc the future of EFL clubs across the spectrum is frankly precarious.
