Sorry to disagree. Admittedly it's closer to me, so travelling is easy, but I've always found Burton a good place to visit. Staff and stewards are always welcoming. And there are lots of decent pubs in town.

How many remember the penalty shoot-out on their old pitch in 2002, after Coley's equaliser?

Yep, I was there that day - first away trip i'd taken my two boys on, must've been very naive as I didn't expect such a hostile atmosphere. When Coley scored that equalising goal my eldest who was about 12 at the time got his head smashed against a metal pillar by one of the Burton fans who'd made their way into the away end - his crime? celebrating the goal.
And what did the stewards do, absolutely nothing - i was fuming!!
The day finished well though with us all celebrating our win in the pub on the carpark with all our players being cheered as they came in one by one, Jamie Speare kept going out the back door & coming in again just to get more cheers, those were the days

nothing against burton as a club or town at all. its something about the place and club like walsall and swindon. if you have to miss a game these clubs have always been the top of my list.
