Re: Charlton away thread
Did not like it Saturday, do not like it tonight :(
Malcolm/Mansell are strikers, Pell is a midfielder, picking names, not players - let us hope I am eating slice after slice of humble pie later tonight..... :( :) :) :) |
Re: Charlton away thread
Six midfield players. Maybe they’ve given Colby a phone to keep in touch?
|
Re: Charlton away thread
Watching on iFollow......glad its available tonight......
|
Re: Charlton away thread
What a goal...Harry the Pell
|
Re: Charlton away thread
Worth the iFollow fee :)
|
Re: Charlton away thread
And then there were only five midfielders.
Sir Harry Pell now officially a striker! Well done, lads. |
Re: Charlton away thread
And a midfielder scores for stanley
|
Re: Charlton away thread
Yet another defensive mistake...when is it going to end
|
Re: Charlton away thread

Re: Charlton away thread
Some good football played by Stanley first half. We are much better when we play possession/passing football. Lets hope we can keep it up second half for a much needed win

Pell's second free kick was well over the line! Not having much luck at the moment.
|
Re: Charlton away thread
playing very well tonight.
|
Re: Charlton away thread
3-1 Hamilton
|
Re: Charlton away thread
Now that was shocking defending after such a great performance.
|
Re: Charlton away thread
Fantastic team performance, well done the mighty Stanley. Great stuff.
|
Re: Charlton away thread
Great result, and well done to Sir Harry at his old stamping ground.
|
Re: Charlton away thread
You Reds! Super win! Sounds like Harry Pell was immense!:jimbo::wave8::rose8:
|
Re: Charlton away thread
Great win should really have read 3-0 but cut the errors out and we are a good side what a player we have in Pell constantly in other teams faces and Hamilton was fantastic on the right all players deserving of at least an 8 tonight.
|
Re: Charlton away thread
I thought Pell was MoM. tonight.
|
Re: Charlton away thread
So did Piero, who summarised on Radio Lancashire! Good to hear from him.

Re: Charlton away thread
Sherring and Amankwa our week links tonight. It's a shame we can't play 3 Nottinghams a cross the back line. I like them both Amankwa looks so assured going forward...less so under pressure one on one defending at the back. A massive 3 points with so many difficult games to come. Sherring needs more game time and more coaching, as he's ourcplayer I expect him to get both.
Well done Pelly.......scored 2.........should have been 3... |
Re: Charlton away thread
Good stuff you red champions. Made my day.

Amankwah and Sherring has Coley said are young lads learning the game has loanees go this year's crop of 5 all look good and interested Amankwah especially looks a classy player plenty of game time and he will I am sure get even better cut out the mistakes and we are a good side.

Re: Charlton away thread
The error Yeboah made, which led to their second, was trying to shield the ball over the bye line.
He’s not yet strong enough for that, and needs to realise there’s nothing wrong with clearing it to Row Z (which maybe exists at The Valley) for a throw-in. |
Re: Charlton away thread
i just watched the match again and cant see where harry pell scored oer the line and was not given?

Vision post-cataract surgery is amazing.
Hope you get your eyes sorted soon. |
Re: Charlton away thread
scoring 3 goals away, coming back with 3 points it becomes hard to criticise any player for me. if that game is repeated the rest of the season i,m more than happy.

Re: Charlton away thread
Nigel Adkins sacked by CAFC this morning.

Under achieve ? Win percentage over 40% consecutive promotions with Southampton - then there's his success with Scunny. Sorry don't accept that depending on your definition of achievements. He even squeezed some life out of SUFC. |
Re: Charlton away thread
The one question I have unanswered from the performance at Charlton was, even if he suddenly wanted to rejoin the squad, who would have been dropped from that team to make room for Charles?
No-one who played at The Valley, that’s for sure. What a stupid agent he must have if Charles has been following his advice. |

However, Pell’s impact has improved in a more attacking role and it’s good to see new things being tried, and coming off. |
Re: Charlton away thread
Agreed and we all know that King Coley hates to change anything :)
Harry Pell is the best signing in ages and is more that proving Coley right :) I would though say - and we can look back in May - I do not think over the season it is the way forward. Strikers/goal scorers should play up front - in my opinion - and Dion/Colby worked very well together and helped us defend from the front :) All about opinions ;) :) :) :) |
