Coley

Got to say that it is a very, very long time since I have seen/heard Coley so down........... :(

His Vegan F.C. post match speaks volumes.........

Next 2 games will be tough, need something from both games!!

I am sure he will work his magic :)

:)

Fully agree!
I think it's finally dawned that his squad/game plan is simply not up to it & seems at a loss what to do about it.

Re: Coley

i think they are mainly young lads learning the game, and we need more in the box when attacking.but only the manager can do that.

Well our two wide men Whalley and Mcconville are vastly experienced at this level but both are at the wrong end of career,s to have any genuine pace any more, and with Hamilton struggling for form and Liegh out of his depth in central midfield Coyle is constantly under the cosh and being the player he is will inevitably pick yellow cards up. I would put Conneely next to Coyle play Sangare in for Liegh and if we are short up front put Liegh there he at least scores goals.

Playing 1 up front is fine, dependent upon the 1 :)

Billy, Colby and Mullers did it brilliantly and had the right players around them also :)

:)

In my opinion, the squad is fine, but we do not have enough of them on the pitch, or their game at the moment :)

Pell would have made a massive difference against Ipswich - just my opinion :)
(I know he has left ;))

:)

In Coley we trust :)

Re: Coley

The Club has chosen its path to tread - over a few seasons now.
You only have to look back at historical posts.
No one is right no one is wrong its the Accy way.
I've been vocal on the lack of investment in the product on the pitch and whether people like it or not my opinion hasn't and won't change.
This is League One.
These signings year after year are gambles.
Sooner or later it catches up with you.
Continuously pulling up minor miracles from lower leagues is nothing short of miraculous
and then moving them on at a profit an even bigger miracle.
Add to that the lack of experience from the loanees.
Suck it up buttercup you reap what you sow.

I can't really comment on this without it forever being taken out of context but the role Conneely fulfils and can continue to fulfil is very important.
Hardly glamorous but very important.
The lad should be contractually in a position where he's secure - but he isn't.

Unfortunately, the rules of the game don’t allow Stanley to field an entire squad at the same time.
The club has been hit with a treble Whammy () of losing good players in the summer, then losing players to injuries, and now expecting young novices to play as if they are seasoned pros.
But, in terms of being able to create or take goal scoring chances, there’s only Pritchard who is missing and could be expected to make a significant difference.
Hope you’re right, Val, but I’m not sure that makes the squad “fine”.

I've suggested putting Conneely back in on my judgement alone his contract situation is between himself and the club not saying he should or should not be tied down longer but while he is here and considering the current lack of experience I in my opinion think he should be on the pitch, has others have said we have been unfortunately hit by injury to key players not just at present but last season as well the season is over 46 games and we need to get points on the board now so selection and formation and a slice of luck is needed.

Great foresight, did you use this foresight to pick up £171M the other night?? ;)
