a bit of help please

Does anybody out there have the ability/hardware to transfer the info from a camcorder cassette onto a dvd?

and a video cassette onto a dvd?

I have tried and failed(after buying £75 worth of stuff!!) to do it myself can anybody help?

You could always invest in a DVD recorder (purchased from ASDA for approx £100 or Tesco for £120 upwards) Camcorder will plug directly into front of recorder and transfers straight onto DVD.

alternatively my uncle does this for a part time job. he used to do it for a living before he retired. will give you the number if you want it.

this might sound a bit stupid, but is it the same thing for taping onto video ? got lot of film footage on video, and would love to know how to put it on cassette, any ideas, thanks.
