A New Fan

Middlesbrough supporter here, who has recently moved to just outside Todmorden... tired of the Premiership and paying £595 for a Season Ticket, and regardless of Boro`s pending relegation, I bought a ST for Stanley on Saturday. Went to Blackpool and the Crawley match on Monday, and enjoyed both.

So there you are... a new fan.

Re: A New Fan

Thank you all.

Newport beckons... I am working in Cardiff on Friday, so it is easily justified. If anyone wants a lift back, I can oblige

Re: A New Fan

You might think I've gone insane but before the M62 was built we used to regularly drive from Leeds to Accrington and back through Todmorden. I have these recollections that there used to be a spaceship permanently parked on some wasteland (on the left as we drove from Leeds). Is that right?

Re: A New Fan

Prior to having at least two Stanley fans, and probably before Lord Didder's extra-terrestrial visions after a day out in Accie, I always thought Todmorden's claim to fame was that the Lancashire-Yorkshire border ran right through the middle of the town hall. Or was that just a long story?
