Excellent result for stanley - well done to the 99 travelling supporters who will be making a very happy return journey tonight. up to 15th in the League. First away win since February, that's that monkey off our back. Bring on the Gulls next Saturday, pity I am working again!!!

I feel another charge up the table coming on.
Every season someone comes good in front of goal. Last season it was McConville. I have a feeling this could be Linfield's season.

Got back to what we did well last season,press the ball all over the field. Got the ball down and played with it.we attacked with three forwards and they couldn't cope in the first half with our movement .
In the second half they had a in but again we defended well . Lot of good performances ,but Hughes,Joyce and long stood out for me,as a team we looked sharp and full of energy ,roll on next week |

Sorry to put a dampener on the thrill of today's win but just heard from someone on the coach travelling back that they've had to stop on the motorway because one of our lot wasn't too well, they've had to ring an ambulance & he's been taken to hospital - most on here will know him, Stephen Davies, just hope he's ok, will post again if I hear any more

As far as the game is concerned, Wombles' manager Terry Brown said afterwards: "A real soul destroying defeat, credit to Accrington who did a real job on us.  "We conceded our customary two early goals and never really looked like breaking down the opposition. "I thought the first half it was men against boys. Second half we had a bit more fire in our belly but we lacked a cutting edge and a drive."  |

Ste is fine, went to hospital with him to get him checked out and got back home at about 4 this morning, won't forget that away trip for a while, huge thanks to all on the coach who had a whip round for the taxi back from wythenshawe hospital to accy...
