Barnet Match OFF!!
Stanley v Barnet
Tuesday 2nd Feb 2010   Pitch inspection - MATCH OFF  Accrington Stanley's home match against Barnet at the Crown Ground has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.Heavy rain last night has continued this morning and left large areas of standing water in all areas of the playing surface. A date for the rearranged fixture will be announced shortly.

Blimey, the drains on our pitch must be full of sand or something. It doesn't need anything much more than gentle rain these days to make it unplayable. The pitches on the Woodlands at Clayton are in fine fettle, as is my lawn!

It was raining heavily here about 1am .. then eased off .. and chucking it down at 3am ...

No way it was going to be on with the rainfall today tho gutted its off but thats typical of the weather to spoil things, tho im sure stanley would love redraines lawn lol
