On balance this must be good news. Players with the ability to turn half chances into goals can make the difference in any league and Mr. Beattie must be as or more effective than any other striker Stanley might attract. And his presence may may help Mr. Carver develop into the prospect he appears to be. But I agree with the above comment that the team should look to play to his strengths by getting behind full backs much more often and much more quickly. |

To digress !....Watched James on 'Question of Sport, last evening and boy is he an erudite young chap !...Didn't put a foot wrong !...Got everything right !.... Earned several points for his team !!...
NOW...All that he needs to do IMHO is to transfer these abilities to the Soccer field and all will be tickety-boo !....or has Rose Colored glasses time returned for yours truly ??... ps...His macho persona obviously awakened more than Maternal feelings in Sue Barker as well...if her blushing glances were to be believed !!. |
