Carl Baker bid
According to todays non-league comic (I know...old habits die hard!) both our clubs have put bids in for Carl Baker the Southport player. However one of us has bid £3K which their manager has described as taking the p***.
 Wonder which of us is taking the p*** ?  Their manager seems to think that the figure should be comparable to that of George Boyd and Craig Mackail-Smith, both of whom went for six figures. Erm...excuse me... but who IS taking the p***??????  |

He's a good player with immense talent but i'd rather spend the six figures elsewhere. Preferably on a striker with league experience and can score out of nothing as we already have Carden, Proccy, Rommy and Jay Harris who can all play in the centre of midfield.

I always thought that you and my lot never discussed any bids or signings until everything was signed, sealed and delivered.
I suspect that this news about a medical is from somebody living in the land of hope rather than expectation. |
