Can't imagine the kids that got a Stanley shirt from Santa are any happier.

Re: Carlisle

I was pleased when Wilks and Nolan started but Wilks was poor for the first hour (and was subbed just after he'd started to look threatening) and Nolan no great shakes.

The Don and Scotty Brown were my MOTMs.

Didn't think we should have lost. Both teams were poor in the first half with their no 9 making the difference. Second half we were the better team but fell apart at the end.

Chappers looked shaky, Clark and Kee not effective. Overall we looked a mid table team.

He was more in the game, that's for sure, but I thought his crossing was off the boil.

Re: Carlisle

Listening to Coley,s post match video looks like he has signings ready lined up for the opening day of the window lets hope they hit the ground running whoever comes in because we really need to turn this alarming slump around if we want to stay amongst the leading pack.

Re: Carlisle

don't think the game was even worth talking about , came home on a very quiet coach .Most of the first half the sun was shining in our eyes , once we could see it was disappointing.

Re: Carlisle

Maybe time to give the one loanee we have for the season a go get Stryic in the nets see if he can command his six yard box better than Chapman does and put some confidence back into an alarmingly leaking defence.

Re: Carlisle

Apart from Carlisle's 2nd goal, which was outstanding, the defending for the other two was lamentable.
Their 3rd, where 4 or 5 of our defenders remained rooted to the spot as Carlisle fired home, was worthy of any pub team.
Judging by the snails pace reactions, I think we were suffering from mince pie overload???
So that's 13 goals conceded in the last 5 games - 6 in the last 2!
Let's be honest, this is more than a blip, the team have run out of steam.
The momentum we had earlier in the season has just evaporated.
I hope Coleman has something up his sleeve for January, or mid-table obscurity may be optimistic.
