Clayton Terrace Roof

I see from the Stanley website that there have been more delays with the roof. Last September I am sure Eric said that the roof was our first priority. Without a roof our gates will be affected as 'fair weather' supporters are not going to turn up to get wet through. Does anyone think that the roof will be on by Christmas ?

The sun may shine over Stanley all season long but I doubt it will shine on us poor wet sods on the terrace.

Re: Clayton Terrace Roof

Hey, fair play to Eric and the gang, the roof is still the number one priority, but I am certain they are also safety concious as I for one would hate to be standing on the terracing if it were to collapse. Give the guys a break please and be patient

Re: Clayton Terrace Roof

It's not just the impact on the gates or getting wet (part of the fun for me in a strange way - remember the Burnley friendly last year? Soaked to the bone and loving it!). It would be great for amplifying crowd volume - making the Crown more intimidating.

Re: Clayton Terrace Roof

I agree.. I think the extra noise generated will make for better atmosphere and be a boost to the team as well as fans who might come back again. Plus of course keeping dry

Re: Clayton Terrace Roof

What type of roof are they putting on? As one who has worked in the building tade - on both sides (as a builder myself and for Jewsons ) I would have thought a roof on a small end terrace like the Clayton End would only take a matter of weeks - not months to put up - which building company are they useing
