Directions to Radclffe

On the fishy site we have some directions to Radcliffe.. I do recall them not being great last time we went and some people said they went a different way and it was easier... (Was it you bottletop?) Anyway looking on the radcliffe site they have now got different directions that are even more more detailed and don't look that simple..

Anyone got a simple route or should I copy the radcliffe directions.. in fact gonna do that now while I await your informative answers

Re: Directions to Radclffe

I know Bury and Radcliffe well and if I was going from Accy direction I'd go the same way as Bottletop. If it helps, at number 10 when you come off the M66, turn right towards Bury and as you come off the roundabout get into the right hand-lane so you can fork RIGHT. There's a pub on the junction called the Seven Stars and a filling station behind it, then keep on, following Bolton signs.

Your telling me!!!!

Got directions from aol driving directions.

However if I was going (can't working) I would go to haslingden down Helmshore road, over Holcombe, down through Tottington, cut accross villages down to Bury bolton road, through lights dropping down to Radcliffe Queen Vic pub on right, turn right to ground.

Crap I know but I know a few short cuts as I used to work that area (over 15 year since). Can't give exact details as I can't remember road names
