Don't know about you...
...but I don't like being told how to support my team. Such comments as "true supporters wouldn't say that" and the ever elusive "short memories" rants are pretty pathetic really.
It's a football team, not an infallible divine entity. A few complaints doesn't make one a blaspheming heathen.
Let the moaners be. It's the only joy we get.

Re: Don't know about you...
Shakers, you said he never put any effort in playing for Stanley, that tis a lie.... He was part of the history making squad that got us back into the League. That is a fact like it or not. Think what you want about the move, Ian Craney has his own special place in many Accy fans hearts.... & I for one, wish him luck.

So Season 2007-2008 was a poor one ? Well....
We got a new roof, & a bar on the Clayton End & a new school in Nepal. Beat an Ex-Premiership side away, had some more tarmac laid over the puddles & saw a 3 inch high header. ASFC Youth system saw youth inthe first team & more importantly we signed a "pub"! Remember 6 points off Morecambe & paid our highest fee ever for a player. All this & still "light" years ahead of Barrow & Worksop!!!!!

Re: Don't know about you...
It comes down to a simple difference of opinion then. For me, his decent performances came few and far between which shows a total lack of effort. I've thought that since the first season he was here.

Re: Don't know about you...
I'm with shaker on this, I Think Ian has all the potential in the world and when he put the effort in he was well worth the entrance money, but it wasn't often enough. I haven't forgot the conference winning season either but I for one was amazed when he picked up the divisional player of the year award, when there were obviously better more consistant performers at other clubs, just that those other clubs didn't win the league.
We are all fans and supporters, and how we choose to follow our club is up to us. Not everybody has to be a sheep following the flock, without an opinion or full of blind faith. This is Stanley, MIGHTY Stanley and one player will never be bigger than the club, and every player will have their price, just as the only peoples opinions that really matter (apparently!!!), are the ones who are making the decisions, everything else is just window dressing!!!!

Moaning is fine. It just sometimes seems people would rather moan than be happy - which makes me a bit depressed !
Still I suppose you started off by being happy that Craney's gone, so I shouldn't moan about that ...
I think I'm confusing myself now

Re: Don't know about you...
Craney is a special player. He has that spark that can either produce a goal or score a goal. Thats why he was always in the team. I for one wish him well and wish he was still at Accy!

Re: Don't know about you...
somebody once said to me that it is not what he does sometimes but what the other team can't do whilst 2 or 3 players are watching him. When they didn't mark him out of the game he played well. Unfortunately, on too many occasions, the rest of the team didn't have the tactics or the players to make the numerical advantage count.
