Doughty goes to Halifax
Apparently, Matt Doughty has had a last-minute change of heart and decided to go to Halifax instead of us. Disappointing, but I'm sure he'll come to regret it.

According to the website the club announced his signing in May, so this comes as a bit of a disappointing surprise.
I think the way news is being released by the club needs carefully rethinking, especially when transfers are concerned. It makes us look a very amateurish set-up. Perhaps we need some PR training?

The website did state that he had signed but in the 'Telegraph' last night it was reported that he had not signed and that Coley was in talks with his agent. What are things coming to when a Rochdale cast off has an agent ?

Seems strange to me that anyone would choose Halifax over Stanley as I had heard that they were going back to being a part-time club for financial reasons! Still if Doughty's the sort to let us down at the last minute I reckon we're better of without him.
