Re: Football fix tomorrow

Maybe that had something to do with half price tickets and giving a shed load out free to school kids. The atmosphere was good yesterday.
I hope they get up in third spot.

Despite it taking a ludicrous 15 mins to buy a ticket and get in the stadium (thereby missing the first goal) it was a decent afternoon.
Can’t believe they will likely be 3 divisions below us next year.
could have paid on the gate. good first half but a little boring after half time. really shows that big crowds do not guarentee success if things behind the scenes are not spot on. bet they,d love to have andy holt there i know my lad would.

Re: Football fix tomorrow

That’s interesting Monkey Hanger - if you could pay at the turnstile why was there loads of us queuing for tickets and why did the people I went with, who’ve been going for years, tell me I needed a ticket? Not saying you are wrong, just intrigued that a herd mentality could have led to this. I was in the Pop Side by the way.....if that makes a difference?

Always used to have to get a ticket first when I used to occasionally venture on back in the distant days when they were in the Championship. Perhaps they've relaxed the rules now they're in National League North?

Re: Football fix tomorrow

they brought back pay at the gate due to the unpopularity of having to pre purchase tickets for a less than half full ground. seems they are not the only ones who,s fans prefer the old skool systems.
