Welchy's goal could get goal of the season for the football league...

It's already got the second best goal of 2006. Just behind Argentina's in the world cup

Re: Goal of the season

For me its Gary's against Torquay. It sealed our first away win a brill night out on the English Riviera, super Garys last in a Reds shirt and also was a fantastic control and finish. Plus those 3 points although it wasnt important at the time have helped keep us up and further Torquays missery.

I think the Craney freekick you are talking about was Walsall at Home.

Or off the tele highlights, courtesy of Redash

Welchy`s goal against Stockport also gets my vote

No, it was the home game against Wycombe, as I said earlier. The one against Walsall is similar, but the ball doesn't stick in the stantion and Todd doesn't stand there pointing at it.

I have all the goals recorded on DVD off Sky Sports. I'll be selling copies after the last game of the season

Re: Goal of the season

I am going to muddy the waters a little bit here, hasn't Rocky scored the odd screamer this season, not long after Welchy's against County

Re: Goal of the season

scored one against MKDons or Shrewsbury? just before Christmas but it was nowhere near as good as Welchy's IMHO.

Re: Goal of the season

Nope, that was Andy Mangan. Strange that as he can score a wonder goal from 30 yards, but is usually useless when peresented with a simple one on one. Ah well.

The game was indeed MK Dons

Re: Goal of the season

Goal of the season has to be Welch's at Stockport - it even impressed the Soccer Am team but in terms of importance I reckon it has to be Cav's last minute free kick against Torquay - I was in tears when it hit the back of the net
