Gold Bond Weekly Draw

Whats going on?
There used to be prizes of
1 x £2000
1 x £500
2 x £200
7 x £100
7 x £50
(Plus the £5000 and other smaller prizes)
Now they have a new format which only shows
1 x £2000
1 x £500
2 x £200
1 x £100
1 x £50
1 x £25

What happened to the other 6 x £100 and 6 x £50 prizes?
Surely they should have notified us about this if we pay by direct debit, not even a mention on the fishy site

Re: Gold Bond Weekly Draw

Prizes have now been changed on the fishy site, thanks for letting us know
Anyone who buys their tickets from the paper shop, pub etc every week will probably see the change as you fill out a form every week, surely the club SHOULD have let people who pay by direct debit know about this, what would you have to say if you got 3, 4 0r 5 numbers on the lottery and you took your ticket in to claim your prize and they told you that they no longer pay out.

Anyway there are now only-
Top Prizes of: £25,000, £10,000, £5,000, £2,000, £500, 2x £200, 1x £100, 1x £50, 1x£25 and over 250 consolation prizes ranging from £5 - £20 every week!
It used to be £10,000, £5,000, £2,000, £500, 2x £200, 7x £100, 7x £50, 35x£25
They have removed
6 x £100 = £600
6 x £50 = £300
34 x £25 = £850
Total £1750 of prize money being held back every week - £91000 a year
They now have a £25,000 prize annually
Nice £66000 gained - no wonder you kept it quiet

Re: Gold Bond Weekly Draw

Winners list for last week 8th June, and the week before 1st June look very similar.

£2000 XX0211 Noel Senior
£500 U0813 Mr K Wisbey
£200 KK2641 Jack Sutcliffe
£200 G4042 Ms J Whittle
£100 Q1421 Miss L Grieve
£50 JJ0845 C V Kirby
£25 N1724 Mrs Baldock
Agents Draw David Parsons

£2000 XX0211 Noel Skinner
£500 U0813 Mr K Wisbey
£200 KK2641 Jack Sutcliffe
£200 G4042 Ms J Whittle
£100 Q1421 Miss L Grieve
£50 JJ0845 C V Kirby
£25 N1724 Mrs Baldock
Agents Draw The Alma Inn

The winner is Senior instead of Skinner but the number is the same and the agents draw is David Parsons instead of the Alma Inn. I have pursuaded people to join this draw and now it seems to have gone to pot.

Re: Gold Bond Weekly Draw

as Chairman of the Supoprters Club I would be loathe to attack the club and would also look to defend it where possible, in fairness (as defence) i think that current problems are possibly something to do with the fact taht are looking for somebody to run it full time and also that Mick (who does everything else as well) is currently on holiday.

As attack I would agree wholeheartedly that things like this should be clarified as a matter of urgency by somebody in the know. I understand that that the club do not want to respond to every bit of rumour, opinion or conjecture, but this is not any of those, it is fact and has to be clarified.

Re: Gold Bond Weekly Draw

Well its over 12 month later and still waiting for the reply

Anyway, reason for this post is that I have just been looking on the fishy site and it seems the prizes have changed again,

Annual Jackpot Prize: £10,000
Weekly Prizes: £2,000, £500, £200, 2x £100, 4x £50, 6x£25, 170x £10 and 130x £5

Yet according to the info on the Stanley legends it says
"One set of seven numbers in the Accrington Stanley Gold Bond Draw (with a weekly top prize of £2,000, a monthly £5,000 prize, two draws a year for £10,000 and finally an annual £25,000 draw)"
