Greetings from the South

Drink your milk and get down to the Abbey Stadium Home of Cambridge United this Saturday.

Enjoy the match.

Dont forget to bring a map - as a previous positng said there are no signs to the ground (Lack of support from the local council) - Try www.cambridge-united.premiumtv.co.uk/page/HowToGetHere/0,,10423,00.html

(Appologies for the milk comment - how many times have you had to put up with that)

P.S - No need to worry about hostile locals - as normal 99.9 % of Supporters are fine, so in a crowd of 3,000 its just 3 you need to watch out for and there has been no trouble with away supporters for years.

The weathers looking ok aswell.

Have a good season.

Re: Greetings from the South

The Greyhound is the 'usual' pub for away supporters, near coldhams common, not sure if it has a dart board though.

There are a few pubs on the Newmarket road heading into town, which will probably let you in (It's just the local games against Peterboro & Colchester, when they get overly cautious and not let visiting supporters in).

Re: Greetings from the South

I would just like to say Cambridge Darren, cheers for your posts, it makes a change from the usual opposing fans coming on here and slagging us off!! Or posting stuff just to rile us. Heres to a decent match tomorrow.

Re: Greetings from the South

I don't think anyones being touchy about losing, more about the stuff that you seem to be posting. Why you feel the need to post on a thread about a cambridge v stanley match when you are an alty fan heaven knows!

Re: Greetings from the South

no if I read correctly you were actually asking about bog rolls so the answer did fit the question. If you had asked about the match then you might of got the answer that the best team won!!!

I thought the streamers thing was all about creating atmosphere, excitement, drama and making football grounds look like the San Siro with loads of flags and banners and you being like the Ultras of AC Milan. So it's basically about just making a mess then.
