ASFC arn't well known for disclosing tranfer fees or wages and indeed the official line for Craney is "Undisclosed fee"

So we will never know.

But then again who cares... I have no idea how well Craney will do in the conference and I don't know if I ever saw him play.. What I do know is that Coley wanted him.. he has been after him for some time and even though the deal looked dead Coley has kept going and got the man he wants.. Thats good news!

If you went to the away game against Alty on a Tuesday night in the Unidump Premier when we was promoted. Alty v Stanley Craney picks the ball up plays one two around a Stanley player (forget which one) & he cracks the ball in from 30 yards......

.... thats why Coley wanted him & I'm OVER THE MOON! Play Offs a real possibilty boys....

So Season 2007-2008 was a poor one ? Well....
We got a new roof, & a bar on the Clayton End & a new school in Nepal. Beat an Ex-Premiership side away, had some more tarmac laid over the puddles & saw a 3 inch high header. ASFC Youth system saw youth inthe first team & more importantly we signed a "pub"! Remember 6 points off Morecambe & paid our highest fee ever for a player. All this & still "light" years ahead of Barrow & Worksop!!!!!

According to the BBC website..."Stanley have paid a five-figure fee for the England non-league international."

I did... I went to the Postponed rainy one and then the Tuesday night one... Pity it wasn't on that saturday eh Not as good a turn out on the Tues... A draw wasnt it.. Seem to recall a stumouch churning last few minutes...
