ITFC Aim to Keep Gary

Looks like Gary has made a good impression on Jim Magilton. See:

Jim Wants Roberts || Singing The Blues - Unofficial Ipswich Town News and Views

They mention a fee of around £200k.

Re: ITFC Aim to Keep Gary

I spoke to him last night at the Dunkenhalgh, Ipswich coach pulled up and all my work colleagues were having a gawp and trying to spot who they might know, then I just sauntered over for a natter with Gary.

Seems to be enjoying himself and was having a good bit of banter with the other players. Said that if I get an Ipswich shirt he'll get it autographed for auction.

2BR got it right. Won't win a lot friends apart from the team he's playing for. Scored a cracking goal from the corner of the box but he was 5 miles offside

Going off today's performance he will probably hold his own just about. Considering he was up against Frank Sinclair he didn't have the speed I thought he had.

Re: ITFC Aim to Keep Gary

Told my Burnley supporting mate at work on Friday to watch out for Gary diving. I suppose he'll give me an earful on Monday, although I also told him that the Clayton End had started to give him some stick for embarrasing them recently!

That's the player every club wants.
He's not there to win friends he's there to win games and given the unfortunate climate of theatric football these days, his style of play is how he changes games.
He is a superb talent.
